UPGRADE 100 Festival – the largest event organised in Bucharest, Romania, dedicated to digital & tech transformation, formerly known as iCEE.fest -, announces postponing the 2020 edition beyond June to October 1 and 2 (traditionally, each annual edition since 2012 took place in June).
„Beyond the safety of our attendees, speakers and team, it’s obvious we are going to face a challenging period – economically and logistically, as our providers will also come out affected. These reasons made us reach this extremely difficult decision”, explained Dragoș Stanca, founder and organized of the festival.
Starting today, as well, under the slogan #StayHome #StaySafe #StayUpgraded, the access in the UPGRADE 100 app and the Virtual Festival becomes free of charge, based on user and password only.
The platform will host live topic specific events, the first one being dedicated to the global pandemics COVID 19, and the way technology can accelerate the fight against it. Moreover, it’s the day the UPGRADE 100 Live news and insights platform kicks off its new design.
The organizers also announced that this year’s festival will comprise 3 different events: Marcom, Disruption and Startups.
„Basically, all areas of interest will be specifically explored. Marketing and communication remain the „core” industries of the festival, but the other two components – Disruption – on the impact of technology and digital transformation across industries and Startups, that grew from within, will become increasingly important and will have separate tickets”, mentioned the organizers.
Among the confirmed speakers for this year’s edition, there are acknoweldged global experts in marketing (Thomas Bartha), disruption (Mark Adams), creativity (Ravid Kuperberg), ecommerce (Oli Gardner) and many others.
