Only a few days before the start of the 8th edition of the festival, the organizers of iCEE.fest: UPGRADE 100 announce a new star-speaker: former CEO of the famous XPRIZE Foundation, Marcus Shingles.
Entrepreneur and founder of several successful companies, Marcus is the one who developed and led the innovation partnership program between XPRIZE and Singularity University.
Also, Marcus Shingles was a Deloitte partner and leader of the Deloitte Consulting Innovation Group.
In the XPRIZE board – a foundation that gives valuable prizes to research teams that accept significant challenges to address issues related to the future of humankind – we find famous tech industry names such as Larry Page, Google co-founder, futurist Ray Kurzweil, or Arianna Huffington, the founder of the Huffington Post. XPRIZE was founded by the famous researcher and futurist Peter Diamandis.

Shingles has collaborated with Salim Ismail, co-founder of “Singularity University,” who is the star speaker at iCEE.fest: UPGRADE 100 on the second day of the festival.

As last-minute news, Salim Ismail confirmed the launch of his famous best-seller “Exponential Organizations,” the Romanian version, within the context of the festival.

There are 8 types of tickets, with prices starting at just 75 euros. Right now, up to 100 students can get to the festival for free by signing up for the UPGRADE 100 Scholarships.
